The geological characteristics of Capitol Reef National Park are no doubt just as intrigueing as they are beautiful. Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada is located about 55 miles northeast of Las Vegas off of Interstate 15. The sign is located along the interstate on the way to or from Zion National Park in Utah. The sign definitely caught our attention and peaked our interest, so we decided to take a detour on our road trip return from Zion.
